Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Susan Lindgren Elementary!I’m Becca Bang, and I’m honored to serve as your principal. Whether you are returning to our school community or joining us for the first time – I’m excited to partner with you.

At Susan Lindgren, we believe every student brings brilliance, strengths, and experiences that deserve to be seen, valued, and nurtured. My role as a principal is to create a school where students feel a strong sense of belonging, are known by the adults around them, and are challenged to grow. We believe high expectations and genuine relationships go hand in hand, and that listening to students and families makes our school stronger.

As a building principal, I bring seven years of school leadership experience across elementary, middle, and high school settings, grounded in my experience as an elementary classroom teacher and instructional coach. My instructional leadership has focused on literacy and mathematics, building systems that better support students, and partnering with families and staff to remove barriers to learning. These experiences have shaped my belief that creating an equitable and welcoming school community is something we do together.

In my second year, I’m looking forward to developing stronger relationships with our students and families and building on the strengths of the Susan Lindgren community. Outside of school, I love being outdoors – rollerblading, running, or walking downtown with my partner to enjoy a patio dinner.
