Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
St. Louis Park Public Schools uses a transformative approach to education by fostering an environment where each student has the opportunity to thrive. This approach, known as Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), is a comprehensive framework designed to meet the diverse needs of all students.
MTSS is used to recognize that students come from varied backgrounds with different levels of readiness and unique learning needs. It is built on the premise that early intervention and a continuum of support can prevent academic, social, and behavioral challenges from becoming more severe. This proactive approach is essential in creating an equitable learning environment where each student, regardless of their starting point, can achieve their full potential.
