Student Services

St. Louis Park Public Schools is committed to providing educational opportunities to all students, including those with disabilities. We carry out the obligations of state and federal laws within our schools and community.

If your child is not yet enrolled in school and you have concerns about his/her development or learning, you are encouraged to call our Early Childhood Student Services office by phone at 952-928-6741.

Special Education Tuition Billing:

Following MN State Law 127A.47: When St. Louis Park Public Schools is educating a non resident student receiving special education services we will notify the resident district with a notice of Open Enrollment within 60 days.   A copy of the Open Enrollment form will be sent to the resident district’s MARSS contact.

As it pertains to Tuition Billing Agreements for students receiving special services from ISD 283 St Louis Park, the District will comply with MN Statute §127A.47 without exception.  There is no requirement that the resident district must acknowledge receipt back to the serving LEA. Since Minnesota law does not require the serving district to supply any additional information or specifics regarding the IEP for the nonresident students served, ISD 283 St. Louis Park will not entertain requests for private student data beyond what is required by State Law at this time.

MN State Law §127A.47 Districts educating a pupil who are a resident of another district must notify the district of residence within 60 days of determining the pupil is a nonresident.
