Welcome from Principal Becca Bang

Dear Susan Lindgren Families,

My name is Becca Bang, and I am honored to serve as the new principal of Susan Lindgren. The entire Susan Lindgren community is thrilled to partner with you in support of all our learners. Whether you're a returning family or joining us for the first time – especially our incoming Kindergarten families – we are so excited to welcome you to our school community.

At Susan Lindgren, we are a team committed to putting the needs of our students first. We believe in nurturing the whole child – academically, socially, and emotionally – and we know this work is most powerful when done in partnership with families. Together, we create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment where every learner can thrive.

Professionally, I’ve worn a lot of hats over the years: Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Instructional Coach, Literacy Methods Professor, Math Recovery Interventionist, and classroom teacher.

I’m deeply committed to doing what’s best for kids every single day – with equity, high expectations, and heart at the center of it all. I love partnering with staff and families to create schools where every student belongs, learns, and grows. I truly believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a thriving school. My hope is to connect with and learn from each of you as we grow together as a community.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out—whether it’s to ask a question, share feedback, or simply say hello. You can contact me at bang.rebecca@slpschools.org or call 952-928-6699.

Let’s make this a joyful, connected, and inspiring year of learning together!
